Allied Health BS (Online)
A degree in allied health provides graduates with the knowledge, understanding, and experience to help people get back to active lives. Graduates learn how to diagnose orthopedic pathologies, explore and understand human anatomy, and apply physiological principles. This degree also paves the way for graduate degrees in athletic training, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and chiropractic medicine.
General Education Requirements
As part of the General Education Requirements (52 to 55 credits), the following co-requisites must be completed:
- PSYCA 112 : Introduction to Psychology for Pre-Athletic Training and Pre-Occupational Therapy Tracks.
Choose one of the following:
General Electives
Take a minimum of 14 to 20 credits of general electives.

Track Requirements
Choose one of the following tracks:
Pre-Athletic Training Track
Pre-Occupational Therapy Track
Take 3 credits of electives in BIOLA, CHEMA, EXERA, or PHYSA.
Pre-Physical Therapy & Pre-Chiropractic Tracks
* PSYCA 112, PSYCA 237, and PSYCA 371 are also required if attending SBU graduate school.
