Behavioral Health Major

The Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health degree prepares graduates to make a difference in the lives of others through positions that serve public and private agencies, ministries, and government organizations. 

Program Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate an understanding of human development, mental health, and normal/abnormal behavior, including DSM-5 definitions.
  2. Explain professional ethical values, laws, and behaviors in the behavioral health professions.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge and approaches for client assessment, case management, crisis intervention, research, statistics, and individual, group, marriage, and family counseling.
  4. Demonstrate professional helping skills using compassion and empathy.
  5. Discuss and defend the dignity of the individual within their cultural background.
  6. Explain how to integrate faith into the behavioral health professions.
