Behavioral Health (COL)

The Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health degree prepares graduates to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations through generalist practice positions in a variety of public health organizations, private agencies, and Christian ministries.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Explain human development, mental health, and normal/abnormal behavior. 
  2. Evaluate professional ethical values, laws, and behaviors in the behavioral health professions.
  3. Practice information literacy and case documentation in the areas of basic client assessment, case management, and crisis intervention.
  4. Demonstrate professional helping skills with empathy and integrity.
  5. Recognize and defend the dignity of the individual within their cultural background.
  6. Integrate Christian faith into the behavioral health professions.
