Biology Education
All biology education majors must complete the required courses as listed under Missouri’s Department of Education, Secondary Education. Biology education majors must complete the General Education (core curriculum) requirements, Science Core Requirements, and the Professional Education courses.
Evangel University Biology Education graduates are prepared for certification within the state of Missouri. Requirements may differ from state to state. Consult professional requirements within a state of planned practice.
Program Learning Outcomes
In addition to Professional Education Outcomes as set for in Education, graduates of the Biology Education program will:
- Develop understanding of function/structure/classification of life.
- Effectively communicate principles of biology through oral means.
- Effectively communicate principles of biology through written means.
- Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory and field techniques.
- Demonstrate ability to know, analyze, and synthesize scientific principles.
