Applied Physics
Evangel’s engineering programs involve an accredited (Higher Learning Commission) educational partnership. Students take courses at both EU and Drury University to complete the requirements for two degrees: in either Electrical Engineering from Drury and Applied Physics from EU or Mechanical Engineering (Drury) and Applied Physics (EU).
Our goal is to develop engineers with the knowledge, capabilities, and desire to be Spirit-empowered servants of God who impact the Church and society globally. Students will be provided with personal attention, small classes, and faculty focused on student success. They will learn to think critically, using skills in math, science, engineering, and the humanities. They will also be effective communicators and independent learners.
Drury’s program is in the process of gaining ABET accreditation (Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org). Accreditation is anticipated to be granted soon after the first cohort graduates in Spring, 2028.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Applied Physics program will:
- Develop problem solving skills.
- Model real-life phenomena.
- Improve technological skills.
