Marketing Communication
The Marketing Communication vocational track combines courses in both the Communication and Business departments to achieve a comprehensive program of study towards either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. Students will learn this field from both a communication/media and business perspective. This track provides the student with a concentration in Communication and a concentration in Marketing. No minor or additional program is required, outside of general education, to meet graduation requirements. This track prepares the student for work in public relations and marketing strategy, with creative marketing skills. As this track is an interdisciplinary program in communication and business, it may not fit the student who has a significant interest in just communication or just business. In those situations, a student might consider a major in Public Relations and Advertising (communication area) or a major in Marketing (business area). The Marketing Communication track works for the student who wants to be adept in both areas equally.
