Church Ministries (Bachelor of Science)

The Church Ministries program has been developed for working adults who are interested in serving in a leadership position in a church as a pastor, staff member or lay leader. Students who complete this program will have a thorough understanding of the requisites for ministry in a church setting and will have completed the necessary coursework to apply for credentials as a clergy person with the Assemblies of God.

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate the ability to engage the world of the Bible, employing sound hermeneutics and using selected study tools.
2. Analyze the cultural context along with a plan for Pentecostal ministry in that context.
3. Demonstrate the ability to effectively teach, preach, and lead.
4. Identify and exemplify healthy relationship skills.
5. Understand church administration (polity, organization, finances, and legal issues).
