Allied Health
The Allied Health major prepares students for entry into professional licensed graduate programs including athletic training (Pre-AT), occupational therapy (Pre-OT), physical therapy (Pre-PT), and chiropractic medicine (Pre-DC).
Allied Health is a comprehensive major that includes an embedded minor. Pre-PT and Pre-DC include the Physical Science minor, Pre-OT includes the Disabilities minor, and Pre-AT includes the Biopsychology minor.
The Allied Health program offers a major in three tracks of study: Pre-Athletic Training, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Pre-Physical Therapy.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Allied Health program will:
- Prepare students to communicate across a variety of populations and health care professionals.
- Engage students in critically analyzing date found in professional literature to determine evidence-based practice.
- Prepare students for the integration and application of knowledge content within their chosen allied health profession.
- Advance knowledge through research and creative activity.
