CJST 365 : Verbal De-escalation Training
Develops the ability to communicate without anger and harsh words and display required traits of patience, kindness and respect for others, and remain calm even when personally insulted or upset. Students will repress the need to express their feelings to improve outcomes. Students will also develop a basic knowledge of the gentle art of persuasion to de-escalate situations in a professional setting.
Prerequisites
Junior or senior standing, and approval of the Program Coordinator and Department Chair.
