Campus Services

Center for Student Success. The Center for Student Success (CSS) brings together key areas that support all students in their education pursuits; CSS includes Academic Support, Disability Services, the Testing Center, the Office of Retention, the Write Place writing studio, and the Valor Scholars Academy. Housing these areas together allows individual teams to work together as one team, serving the varied needs of Evangel’s student body.

CSS focuses on:

  • Academic Coaching: equipping students with skills and tools to successfully thrive in the classroom and providing content-area tutoring focused on specific courses and topics.
  • Disability Support Services: equipping students with diagnosed learning and/or physical disabilities with academic accommodations.
  • Valor Scholars Academy: the University's interdisciplinary honors program, providing an enriched experience for high-achieving students and building a community of like-minded students who pursue excellence in learning and life.
  • Student Retention: identifying at-risk students and advising them intentionally towards completion and graduation.
  • Career Services: providing students with counsel regarding career opportunities and ongoing preparation for vocational options available in their fields of study.
  • Academic advisor training: providing support, training and student information for faculty advisors.
