HOM 650 : Rhetoric and Tradition of Black Preaching
Serves as an introduction to the Black sermonic tradition primarily used by African Americans within the Black church. The course will focus on the history, rhetorical style, delivery, and structure of Black preaching. The course will also examine the concept of “prophetic preaching” within the African American/Black church context.
