Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Minor equips innovative students with the tools necessary to begin their entrepreneurial journey. Students will learn basic business functions in Marketing, Sales, and Business Finance. The capstone entrepreneurship class provides students with the opportunity to create a business plan and present their business ideas to a community of entrepreneurs. The Minor also includes elective options in business or in a student’s major field of study.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Creative Problem Solving and Opportunity Recognition
    • Students will learn to identify real-world problems and creatively explore opportunities for innovation and value creation within their field of interest.
  2. Foundational Business and Entrepreneurial Skills
    • Students will develop a working knowledge of core entrepreneurial concepts—such as business modeling, budgeting, marketing and sales— applicable to launching and sustaining a venture, project, or creative endeavor.
  3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Communication
    • Students will apply teamwork, communication, and project management skills to collaborate across disciplines and effectively pitch ideas to diverse
      audiences.
